Bio

Brett Bowman has over 37 years of experience in both the career and volunteer fire and EMS service. He is the Fire and Rescue Chief / Emergency Management Coordinator of the City of Manassas Fire and Rescue Department, which is composed of 60 career and 60 operational volunteer personnel in the Washington, DC metropolitan area of Northern Virginia. Chief Bowman has attained a Masters of Public Administration degree, is a graduate of the National Fire Academy’s Executive Fire Officer Program and is a Certified Chief Fire Officer by the Commission on Professional Credentialing. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the International Association of Fire Chief’s Safety, Health and Survival Section. He is a Trustee on the Board of Directors of the Virginia Fire Chiefs Foundation. Chief Bowman is an Adjunct Professor for the University of Richmond and a member of the United States Branch of the Institution of Fire Engineers.
