I am the proud father of three terrific kids and husband to an amazing leader who serves as a principal in a pre-kindergarten through eighth grade elementary school. I was originally hired by Warren Township (Indianapolis) in 2004. Our department had five stations, six apparatus, and around 100 career members. I worked part-time briefly for White River Township (Greenwood, IN), a three-station combination department, early in my career. Warren merged into the Indianapolis Fire Department in 2007. IFD currently has 44 stations, 73 frontline apparatus, and 1249 career members. I have served on the department's hazardous materials and collapse rescue teams. I have also held the position of performance and compliance officer, ISO and accreditation manager, and planning chief (my current role). I have a BS in secondary education and a MS in management and leadership. I hold the CFO credential and recently finished my EFO program. I am currently serving as peer review team leader for the Commission on Fire Accreditation International and co-facilitate the Michigan-Ohio-Indiana-Kentucky CPSE consortium.
