Leslie Distler is Corporate Relations Executive with the International Association of Fire Chiefs (IAFC), which represents the leadership of over 1.2 million firefighters and emergency responders worldwide. She is responsible for managing corporate partnerships.
Prior to joining IAFC, she served as Director, Strategic Alliances for the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP), a 501c(3), the leading organization of and voice for middle level and high school principals, assistant principals, and school leaders from across the United States and 35 countries around the world. Leslie was responsible for all development efforts including corporate partnerships, and government and foundation grant funding to support programs, events and recognition programs. In addition she served as Associate Director, Sponsorships and Strategic Alliances and Manager, Exhibits and Event Sponsorships for a tenure of nearly fifteen years.
Prior to joining NASSP, she was Coordinator, Exposition Services at the Edison Electric Institute, a 501c(6) organization that represents all U.S. investor-owned electric companies. EEI members provide electricity for 220 million Americans, operate in all 50 states and the District of Columbia, and directly employ more than 500,000 workers. In this role she managed several trade shows and event sponsorships while serving in the Meetings Department.
She has a Certificate in Non Profit Management from Stanford University in cooperation with the Association of Fund Raising Professionals, a Certificate in Business Administration from Georgetown University, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish from University of Richmond.
