Bio

Chief Jamie Baggett joined the Lowell Fire Department in September 2019. He began his fire service career as a volunteer with Avoca Volunteer Fire Department in 1994, Baggett accepted a position as a firefighter in Ft. Smith in 2000 and Bentonville Fire Department in 2002. He joined Bella Vista Fire Department in September 2014. Chief Baggett rose through the ranks at Pea Ridge Fire Department from firefighter to become the Fire Chief. A position he held from December 2013 to February 2019. Where he was over the implementation of upgrading the BLS ambulance to an ALS ambulance and ISO decrease.

Chief Baggett holds a Bachelor of Science in Emergency Management from Arkansas Tech University. Associates of Applied Sciences degree in Safety and Health and Fire Science from Northwest Arkansas Community College, as well as an Associates of Applied Sciences degree in Paramedical Science from Crowder College. Hold’s IFSAC certifications in Officer III, Instructor II, FF II, and Hazmat Operations. He is NIMS certified with NIMS 100, 200, 300, 400, 700, 701, 702, 703, 704, 706, and 800. He is an American Heart Association ACLS, PALS, and CPR Instructor. He holds state certifications in Inspector I and Hazmat Technician. He served as a full-time Engineer/Paramedic with the City of Bella Vista (AR) Fire Department where he was a member of the Hazmat Team.
