David Pickering was hired as the Assistant Fire Chief of Administration for the West Chester Township Fire Department, West Chester, OH on March 28th, 2016. Assistant Chief Pickering previously served with the Colerain Township Department of Fire & EMS, Cincinnati, OH as a Career Firefighter and Company Officer for 31 years. Chief Pickering has been a member of Liberty Township (OH) Fire Department, Hamilton County Fire Investigations Team, Hamilton County Hazardous Materials Team, Hamilton County Urban Search & Rescue, Butler County Fire Investigations Team, and Ohio Task Force 1 Urban Search & Rescue (FEMA). He is a State of Ohio certified Firefighter II, Paramedic, Fire Instructor, and Fire Safety Inspector. Chief Pickering is a member of the Ohio Fire Chiefs Association, International Association of Arson Investigators, International Society of Fire Service Instructors, and International Association of Fire Chiefs. He is married with a son and daughter. David and his family reside in Liberty Township (Butler County) Ohio.
