Bio

​Chief Master Sergeant William L. Taylor is the Installation Fire Chief for the 100th Air Refueling Wing, Royal Air Force Mildenhall, United Kingdom. He is responsible for advising the wing commander through the base fire marshal, on all issues related to fire prevention and emergency services. He serves as the incident commander for structural fires, aircraft crashes, hazardous materials incidents, WMD responses, specialized rescue and medical emergencies protecting 2.2 billion dollars in base infrastructure. Chief Taylor recommends policies and procedures as well as develops wing instructions and contingency plans servicing over 11,000 personnel.

Chief Taylor was born in San Jose, California and entered the Air Force in February of 1996.  He has served in a variety of positions, including Instructor Supervisor, Advanced Rescue Technician Course, Goodfellow AFB Texas. Fire Emergency Services Subject Matter Expert to the Defense Contract Management Agency, Afghanistan. Deputy Inspector General, Eielson AFB Alaska. Deputy Fire Chief, McConnell AFB Kansas.  He has also deployed in support of Operation ENDURING FREEDOM. He attends Columbia Southern University and is working toward a Master's Degree in Emergency Management.

Prior to assuming his current position, he served as the Installation Fire Chief 51st Civil Engineer Squadron, Osan AB, Republic of Korea.​
