I started as a volunteer Firefighter/EMT-B for Richland Twp. Fire Department, Defiance, Ohio from 1980 - 1988.
I was hired as a full-time Firefighter/EMT-B for Sylvania Twp. Fire Department in March of 1988, where I continue to be employed.
I was promoted to Lieutenant in November of 2001 and to Deputy Fire Chief in July of 2011. My current assignment is Fire Prevention/Community Risk Reduction, which I truly love.
