Joined the fire service in 1987 as a volunteer firefighter. Enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1989 as a crash-fire-rescue firefighter. Served in England, Texas, and Ohio, with temporary assignments to Germany, Florida, and Illinois. Honorable discharge 1994. Acquired full-time position as "paid driver" for volunteer fire department. Re-enlisted in Air Force Reserve in late 1990s and stationed at Westover ARB in Mass. Took full time position in Willimantic Fire Department in 1999. Separated from Air Force a second time. Became Adjunct Instructor for Connecticut Fire Academy in 2003. Joined CT TF 1 US&R team in 2004. Later became Logistics Manager. Served as Department trainer in mid-2000s. Appointed Deputy Fire Chief for Willimantic Fire Department in 2007. Appointed as Acting Fire Chief April 1st, 2010. Later appointed as Fire Chief. Resigned from CT TF 1, and joined CT IMT 4. Now Immediate Past President for the Connecticut Career Fire Chiefs' Association. Past President of the Connecticut Fire Chiefs Association (2015).
